In 2009 we founded KusArt Design with a vision of bringing history to present by designing elegant and sophisticated pieces in our New York City office, and have them handcrafted by artisans in South America, using ancient techniques and original materials from their area.
At the heart of our business is the very close relationship we have with a network of more than 20 Peruvian and South American artisans. Working closely with them, we have rescued different ancient techniques and infused them with our design philosophy. Together, we combine their talent with our creativity and aesthetics to create truly amazing and unique pieces.
In doing so, we use local materials such as the “Huamanga stone” or Peruvian alabaster, highlands and Amazonian woods, ceramic, silver and silver plate, among others.
Today, our pieces are available at Bergdorf Goodman in New York, high-end boutiques in Peru such as Dedalo, Indigo, and in selected museums such as Museo de Osma, and Museo de Arte de Lima.
We are headquartered in New York City and have an office in Lima, Peru.
